Terms of service

Demca (demca.online) is a demurrage calculation product operated by Amalgama-FZCO (“we”, “us”). It reads voyage documents you upload, builds a timesheet and produces laytime, demurrage and despatch calculations for your review.

By creating an account you accept these terms on behalf of the organisation you register.

Demca assists with calculations; it does not replace professional judgement. You review and confirm the timesheet and terms before any result is used, and you remain responsible for the claims you issue to counterparties.

Calculation results depend on the documents you provide. You are responsible for uploading complete and authentic documents.

You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload. We process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy policy.

Your data is never used to train AI models. Each organisation's records are isolated from other customers.

Do not upload content you have no right to share, do not attempt to access other organisations' data, and do not interfere with the operation of the service.

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

We work to keep Demca available and accurate, but the service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Amalgama-FZCO is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses arising from claims negotiated or settled on the basis of calculations you reviewed and approved.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page and material changes will be announced by email.
